Today I take you to the beautiful city of Bangkok—a city vibrant with life and with people who are always very cheerful. This post was long pending because I had visited this place 1.5 years back in September 2013, but did not get much time to frame all the details in one place. I have uploaded some photos though in my blog few weeks ago.

Lets travel today to one of the most beautiful places of India…..Chopta. Fondly referred to as mini Switzerland, Chopta is not much explored. It is an untouched beauty, situated in Uttarakhand, somewhat near to Deoria Tal. The 4km trek to Tungnath begins from Chopta.

Landour….serenity in wilderness

Another sunny day, yet another destination, 3 friends 🙂 , one short trip to the twin town of Mussorie called Landour. The distance from Haridwar is around 90Km and from Delhi is around 290Km . So we started off at around 8 am in the  morning from Haridwar. When it is a holiday, and I am on a trip (no matter whether its long or short), I feel at my best 🙂 . So, we drove past Raiwala, Doiwala, Dehradun and took the turn towards Mussorie for our destination. Around 5Km before reaching Mussorie, there is a diversion which leads to Landour. One can also go via Mussorie, but we avoided that route due to traffic. Lots of research was done on the internet for a perfect weekend getaway, and there we landed in Landour, a serene location to drain out our weekdays frustration.

Mana……the last Indian village

Hey all….Its been quite long that I wrote as some personal work kept me busy. But today I bring to you my journey to the last indian village called Mana 🙂 . The village gets its name from “The Manas Putras”, the biologcal sons of Lord Brahma. This was one of my excursions during my trip to the holy shrine of Badrinath, as Mana is just 3 kms from there. This is a rather small village located in the district of Chamoli in the state of Uttarakhand. The altitude will be around 3100m above sea level. The visit to this place has been one of the most exciting of all my trips. It feels so different to be standing just a few kms away from the Indian border and more so when you are having a cup of tea at the last Indian tea shop. Ahead of this village lies the Mana pass at a distance of around 24Kms.

Padharo Mharo Desh-Welcome to Rajasthan, is the first thing that comes to my mind when I think of Rajasthan, and these are exact words used by the locals to welcome whoever visit their beautiful state. My second visit to Jaipur(the capital of Rajasthan) was made in the 1st week of November, 2013. Earlier I had visited Jaipur & Udaipur in 2004, with my parents. This time there was a time constraint, so I had to plan the trip only for 1 day. Nevertheless, I was very much excited, as the Royal grandeur of Rajasthan has always attracted me.

Tawang…..an unexplored paradise

Tawang….a heavenly paradise in the state of Arunachal Pradesh, located in north eastern part of India. This place is very sparsely populated, may be because of its altitude. The locals are the Monpa tribe, who inhabit the entire region. The trip was on my mind since a long time, but finally everything matched and I visited Tawang in the month of April, 2013. I started from Tezpur in Assam through the help of a travel operator. The fare is around Rs.700-800 per person in a sumo. They managed with the Inner Line Permit, which is required for every visitor to Tawang, since it is a restricted area.
